こんにちは。今、台北で旅行しています。10日間ほどいます。台北に来て、6、7回目ですが、いつも台湾人の人情味 (にんじょうみ)に感動しています。

例えば、ホテルの隣に、ローカルなお店があります。店の人は私を見かけたら、値段を安くしてくださいます。この前、雨の日に、淡水にある商店街に入って、地面が少し濡れていました。そして、はがきを選んだとたんに、10枚ほどのはがきを落としてしまいました。すると、店員さんがこうおっしゃいました「はがきを入れすぎたかな。ごめんなさい。」その瞬間、とても感動してしまい、泣きそうでした。幸いに、はがきはビニール袋に入っていて、あまりぬれませんでした。結局、はがきを3枚買いました。

旅行中、授業はオンラインで行います。生徒たちは教室まで行かなくてもいいし、家でご飯を食べながら、受講 (じゅこう) できます。

優しい生徒達に理解をいただいて、本当に幸せです。多分、これがTLSの一番いい事だと思います。先生達と生徒達は優しくて、思いやりを持っている人です。

Translation
Hello. I’m currently traveling in Taipei. I’ll be here for about 10 days. This is my 6th or 7th time in Taipei, and I’m always touched by the kindness of the Taiwanese people.

For example, there’s a local shop next to my hotel. When the shop staff sees me, they give me a discount. The other day, on a rainy day, I went into a shopping street in Tamsui, and the ground was a little wet. As soon as I picked out some postcards, I dropped about 10 of them. Then the shopkeeper said, “I think I put too many postcards in. I’m sorry.” At that moment, I was so moved that I almost cried. Luckily, the postcards were in a plastic bag, so they didn’t get too wet. In the end, I bought 3 postcards.

During the trip, classes are conducted online. Students don’t need to go to the classroom; they can attend classes while eating at home.

I’m truly fortunately to receive such understanding from my kind students. Perhaps this is the best thing about TLS. The teachers and students are kind and considerate people.
