JLPT N1/N2文法: 「～て以来」と「～てからというもの」の違い
更新: 2021年1月12日 ————————— みなさん、 おはようございます。 今日の投稿で、N1/N2 級の「～て以来」と「～てからというもの」の違いについて説明いたします。 例文を見ていきましょう。 1) 姉が家を出て以来、母は父と口を利かない. 2) 姉が家を出てからというもの、母は父と口を利かない. どう違いますか。 まず、「～て以来」の意味です。 英訳： Ever since 意味: 1) そのときを境に続く状態を話す。特別な感情移入をせず、その変化を事実として認めて、客観的に話す。 2) ある行動の後、ある状態がずっと続いている。後の行動が１回限りのことには使えない。 例文 1) 子供のころ犬に噛まれて以来、私は犬が怖い。 2) 父は中学を出て以来、漁師をしている。 3) 妹が生まれて以来、お母さんは忙しそうだ →無感情 (参考: http://www.edewakaru.com/archives/14597643.html) 次に、「～てからというもの」の意味を見ましょう。 英訳：From the time 意味: 1) 予期していなかったことが起こり、その後の様子が大きく変わってしまったときに使う。 2) ドラマのように大きな変化を語る。話者は心情を込めていう。 例文： 1) タバコをやめてからというもの、食欲が出て体の調子がとてもいい。 2) 事故で片腕を失ったからというもの、友人は心を閉ざしてしまった。 3) 妹が生まれてからというもの、お母さんは忙しそうだ →大変そうだな…という感情を込めて言っている (参考: http://www.edewakaru.com/archives/14597643.html) 簡単に覚えていただければ、「～て以来」は客観的に事情を言う。 一方、「～てからというもの」は話者が心情を込めて事情を言う。 ケン
